BANNED in the USA (my thoughts on Sherman Alexie's, "The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-time Indian")

Book-BanBook-Ban

If you actually read this book before you follow the crowd, you might have the same insight as I do.  I enjoyed this book and do not see the controversy in censorship. It has a lot more to say that is meaningful than harmful. The world is more vulgar than parents want to admit. I would let my ten year old nephew read this, but I'm against censorship of reality. I don't think it is far from how 14 year old boys really are. I enjoyed this book and don't think it needs any reconsideration. Read on my little truth seekers!

* If you liked this book you will love "A Separate Peace" by John Knowles.

Prolonging Stay : Poetry by ME!

Beaming lights array
Oh dark twilight stay
Prolong the night silent
Glistening song so violent
Black currant sheet and pill
Oh sweet descent through window sill
Shattered glass to falling leaf
Escaping dream for only brief
Beaming lights array
Oh dark twilight stay

Your soul weighs 21 grams

Hmmm? I'm baffled as to what to think of this. The question, "what do you think your soul weighs?" was asked of me today.  I would have guessed my soul has no weight. But apparently someone is trying to use a scientific method to find out if the soul really does have weight within our bodies.

The Extreme Green Power of Wind!

http://www.inhabitat.com/2007/05/16/david-fishers-twirling-wind-power-tower/

"Designer David Fisher claims his Twirling Tower can not only generate enough energy to power itself, but it will also generate enough energy to power ten additional buildings similarly sized."

This is pretty interesting. There is a video where you can watch the tower in action. Very intriguing idea!
